Position Overview Purpose of the role To provide support for Ohio Operations (Newport and Uhrichsville Recycling) with regard to the Management Systems (ISO-14001, ISO-9001), process analysis, product development, driving continual improvement utilizing six sigma methodologies. Core accountabilities Facilitates and leads team efforts to establish and monitor customer/supplier relations, supports strategic planning and deployment initiatives, and helps develop measurement systems to determine organizational improvement. Analyzes all elements of a quality system and judges its degree of adherence to the criteria of industrial management and quality evaluation and control system. Collects, organizes, revises and distributes information related to quality, environment and training including but not limited to compliance to and documentation of quality management standards, such as ISO 9001 and ISO-14001. Coordinate the continual development and maintenance of EtQ. Manages Cornerstone training program to ensure that training is completed on time and records of training are UpToDate. Facilitate the internal audit, corrective/preventive action, and document and data control programs. Support Ohio's Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing initiatives by participating on teams as a subject matter expert, contribute or lead as a Black Belt or Green Belt, and facilitate project teams in improvement efforts focusing on improved quality, increased throughput, and cost reductions. Responsibilities & Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Experience Education and Experience A minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment. A four-year degree preferred in a technical, science or engineering discipline preferred. Required Skills Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal including the ability to present information clearly and persuasively. Must have strong computer skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Front Page and Photo Editor) and SPC software. Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and objectives. Preferred Skills 1-3 years of previous experience with ISO14001, Environmental Management System. Decision Making Must possess strong decision making and problem solving skills including the ability to diagnose and solve problems while exhibiting practical judgment and realistic understanding of the issues involved. Must be able to overcome obstacles and find reasonable resolutions to situations on a case by case basis as encountered. Analytical Thinking Must possess strong analytical thinking skills and use logic, math, formal problem solving techniques and data analysis tools to provide guidance and reach solutions.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
